Travel Advice

We could like to give you some helpful tips for when you are planning your holiday to Orihuela so that you and your family can avoid getting into any tricky situations.

Orihuela travel advice is a section that will provide you with some helpful tips so you can organize your holiday before you come and make the most of your stay here.

If you are travelling with extended family it is a good idea to make sure you know what everyone is looking for, whether they want to stay in the city centre, near all the fun, or somewhere more peaceful. What services are they all looking for, accommodation with a swimming pool, a spa, parking, private bathroom?do they want to be near the beach, the monuments, the historic sites, on a procession route?

We would also like to offer you some advice for when travelling with children or pets; you need to make sure that there is plenty around you to keep them entertained, that there is plenty of food on the hotels menu that the children will enjoy, that there are beaches nearby where you can take your pets?

It?s a good idea to think of all the above before you book your holiday, whether on your own, with your partner, family or with a group of friends. There are so many places we can get the information: internet, blogs, travel books or magazines, newspapers, tourist centres, booking sites, travel guides like costasur, it is not a good idea to buy any tickets without first checking all these things out first and making sure what you are planning to book ticks all the boxes on your holiday wish list.

This will make sure that you don?t feel let down when you arrive on your holiday or have a bad holiday due to problems and arguments with family members or friends because things just haven?t lived up to their expectations.

Other important travel advice is to plan your travel arrangements well, the times that you have to be at the airport, port, bus terminal, etc. Depending on the amount of people you are travelling with you will want to choose different routes, check these out as well, like for example the state of the roads if you are planning to travel by car or coach. If you like to be really well prepared you can always check out alternative routes for if your first option is delayed or cancelled, as can happen for example with planes in extreme weather conditions.

Don?t forget to take all your travel documents with you, well before you are due to leave make sure everything is up to date and that you haven?t lost anything, if you are a foreigner make sure you bring your Passport but don?t carry it around with you as it could be stolen, leave it in a safe in your apartment or hotel and carry photocopies with you, when going to the beach you won?t need a Passport. Keeping all the travel documents in the apartment can prevent a lot of problems.

And lastly some advice about what to wear; don?t forget to take all the clothes and shoes you will need taking into account our climate here in Orihuela and whatever sports or activities you plan to take part in while you are here.
